We will spend the full day exploring the Masai Mara, with its abundance of large mammals and diverse birdlife. Big cats are a very prominent feature of the Masai Mara and also include Cheetahs and Leopards, both of which are fairly straightforward to find here. We are definitely at ‘Predator Central’ here and there can be few. Return to the lodge for overnight stay.

Our Kenya Tanzania classic safari will spend the day exploring the Masai Mara, with its abundance of large mammals and diverse bird life. We have the option to either have full and complete day out in the field when lunch can be served out on the savannah or we can return to the lodge for lunch.

It is, however, a time of plenty for the gigantic Nile Crocodiles that live in the river and lie in wait as hundreds of thousands of animals head north from the Serengeti Plains to feed on the lush Mara grasslands. Your Kenya and Tanzania safari continues in the morning to Serengeti. Early Breakfast then your driver guide will transfer you to the airstrip to board a flight to Serengeti national park – on arrival our guide will meet you and proceed to Serengeti Kati Kati Camp or similar for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon embark on game drive in Serengeti national park then return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay

Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometres of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park It is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Morning game drives then return to the lodge for breakfast proceed e south to the magnificent Ngorongoro crater via the historical Olduvai Gorge whilst game watching only interrupted by a picnic lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge or similar The Olduvai Gorge cuts through rock beds layered in time sequence from 2 million years ago to the present. It is here where humanoid bones have been found dating back to over 1.75 million years including a direct ancestor of modern man. Fossil footprints (over three million years old) have also been found here and are the most ancient footprints yet discovered.
