This is a privately guided tour that starts from Nairobi city and heads to Northern Kenya’s Aberdares forest. On your arrival to the scenic Aberdare Ranges, you will rest with an overnight stay at a Tree hotel. Aberdares National park is ideal for photography due to the contrasting rain forest and the river streams. The park is also home to various rivers including the large Karuru waterfall and the Chania River.
Aberdares, Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari
For the second and third day you will head to the Samburu Game Reserve. While en route to Samburu, you will catch a glimpse of Mount Kenya, Kenya’s highest mountain. Samburu national reserve is a popular park with its rich wildlife and a true oasis for wildlife. While here, you will spend two nights of your safari, basking in the semi-arid climate.
On the fourth day of the trip, you will visit the Sweetwater’s conservancy. The Ol Pejeta conservancy is home to Kenya’s only chimpanzees, Black Rhinos and other wildlife. Relax with a one day stay at the luxurious Sweetwater’s Serena camp or similar high quality accommodations. The fifth day of the safari we’ll head to Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake is one of the alkaline lakes in the Rift valley and also a favorite bird sanctuary.
Lake Nakuru boasts of over 365 species of birds species. Also, it is an important haven for endangered species, particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Other wildlife like Lions, waterbucks, buffalo and baboons are all residents here. Moving on to the sixth day of your safari, you will head south to the Masai Mara national reserve. Kenya has good weather all year round hence you can choose to book this tour at any time of the year. However, travel in the months of July through to October is more exciting due to the annual Wildebeest Migration that takes place in Masai Mara game reserve then.
Our 8 days Kenya safari is operated using a safari custom made 4×4 Land cruiser with a popup roof hence they are ideal for game viewing and photography.
