This 11 days Kenya photography tour takes you to the famous Masai Mara national reserve, it is in Masai Mara where you find the BIG 5 and other wildlife in abundance. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
It is here in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place from July through to October. This is the Annual Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture flock on their heels to the Masai Mara. A spectacle of the predators (lions and crocodiles) preying on the wildebeest and zebras is witnessed from the Mara River as the marvel of the survival of the fittest prey takes place.
Your Game drives in Masai Mara will include a visit to Mara River where the annual wildebeest crossing takes place. Your professional safari guide could also drive you to Talek River or Sand River where the wildebeest migration also takes place.
From Masai Mara, we then head to the Lake Nakuru, one of the alkaline Rift Valley lakes and a famed bird sanctuary. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries. Enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley as you journey to Lake Nakuru national park. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species– particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Other wildlife like Lions, waterbucks, buffalo, and baboons are all residents here.

Drive north to Samburu game reserve located in the semi-arid northern frontier district of Kenya, where you spend 3 nights viewing game in savanna grasslands. The highlights of the Samburu game reserve are its spectacular scenic beauty and the Ewaso Nyiro River. The local people preserve a rich and colorful heritage. Samburu Game Reserve has numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes Leopard, Hippo, Elephant, Lions, Reticulated Giraffes, Gravy’s zebra, and crocodiles in the Ewaso Nyiro River.
You spend the last night at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and is home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino. It is the only place in Kenya you can see chimpanzees. The conservancy is located on the equator west of Nanyuki.
