When is the best time to travel to Africa with family?

However, The best time to reserve this safari is from July through to October of every year. This is when the Annual Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti National Park in search of water and pasture flock on their heels to the Masai Mara. A spectacle of the predators (lions and crocodiles) preying on the wildebeest and zebras are witnessed from the Mara River as the marvel of the survival of the fittest prey takes place. Diani beach to is cool all year round.
Transport and game drives while on this safari holiday is done by a custom made 4×4 safari vehicle. We carry 6 people per vehicle to ensure all travelers get a window seat.

Pick up from Jomo Kenyatta International airport on arrival and transfer to Sarova Panafric hotel in readiness for your 8 days Kenya safari in the morning
Nairobi Excursions- Masai Mara National Reserve
Pick up from the hotel at 0900hrs and proceed for city excursions Visit the Giraffe Center, home to endangered Rothschild giraffes. Hand feed them from atop a platform, as they gently snatch food with their long, blue tongues. Continue to Daphne Sheldrick’s Orphanage to see small elephants cared for by attentive keepers. Early lunch at Carnivore restaurant, after lunch your driver will transfer you to Wilson airport in time to board Air Kenya departing at 1445hrs arriving in Masai Mara at 1615hrs. On arrival your guide will me you and proceed for evening game drives until dusk. Check in at Keekorok Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve
We will spend 2 days exploring the Masai Mara, with its abundance of large mammals and diverse birdlife. We have the option to either have full and complete days out in the field when lunch can be served out on the savannah or we can return to the lodge for lunch.
Big cats are a very prominent feature of the Masai Mara and also include Cheetahs and Leopards, both of which are fairly straightforward to find here. We are definitely at ‘Predator Central’ here and there can be few.
if any wildlife spectacles anywhere in the world that can rival the tension, drama and emotion of a Mara crossing. As many as a million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra attempt this epic journey each year. Watching as thousands of wildebeest and zebra gather at a crossing point you can almost feel the pressure build on the animals at the front as they consider the right time to attempt to cross the dangerous waters of the crocodile-infested Mara River. It is, however, a time of plenty for the gigantic Nile Crocodiles that live in the river and lie in wait as hundreds of thousands of animals head north from the Serengeti Plains to feed on the lush Mara grasslands.
