8 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Climb Umbwe Route

Mount Kilimanjaro climb Umbwe route is one of the shortest routes to the Southern Glaciers and the Western Breach. It is probably the most scenic and non technical route on Kilimanjaro. It is quite taxing, primarily due to the relatively fast ascent to higher altitude. However, the rewards are plentiful. Umbwe route has less human traffic. In addition, pristine forest and shorter walking distances make it a great option for fit hikers. Add to your experience - OVERNIGHT IN THE CRATER!! Be one of a few fortunate people to spend a night in Africa's largest volcano. This option is highly recommended, since this will be the only opportunity to get close to the beautiful and fascinating glaciers of Kilimanjaro and to be able to visit the ash pit Umbwe Gate at 1800m, passing through villages with coffee and banana plantations. On arrival at the Parks Gate your guide and porters will meet you. Sign the register before you enter the park for your first step to accomplishing a life long dream. Extra days for Kilimanjaro Climb through Umbwe route can be arranged to suit your specific requirements. This trek runs on private basis. We require a minimum  of 2 people to guarantee a departure. While on our 8 days Mount Kilimanjaro Climb Umbwe Route , we will provide a mountain climbing guide, potters and cooks to make your meals while on the trek. Physical Conditioning to Climb Mount Kilimanjaro Hiking Tours Kilimanjaro, at 19,340 ft. is an extreme, high altitude climb and is perhaps the most underestimated of the seven summits. You should be comfortable walking four to eight hours per day. Summit day is the most demanding portion of the climb. It typically involves eight hours for the ascent and six to seven hours for the descent. Our expeditions require strength and endurance. Being in sound physical condition is the single most important aspect for climbers to maximize their climbing potential. The better your physical condition, the more likely you are to perform well and have an enjoyable experience. The most frequent comment we have received over the years is that climbers have underestimated the fitness level needed to fully enjoy their trip. Additionally, inadequate fitness will affect the atmosphere, pace and overall enjoyment of the climb for all participants. We highly recommend checking with your physician before undertaking any strenuous activity.
